"Research is to see what everyone else has seen and to think what no one else has thought"

-Albert Szent-Gyorgyi (Hungarian Biochemist, 1937, Nobel Prize winner for Medicine.)

But research without application is futile!

From the innocuous cup-holders in our cars to the life saving vaccines; ordinary or stupendous; innovations are most welcome when they serve a purpose. Use of the multi-varied Indian flora in control of dental disease has been fervently recorded and utilized by the proponents of Ayurveda. We include in this issue one such association.

In response to our first issue we had many queries regarding clinical trials, and we shall be organizing an intensive workshop for this. The details of this shall be found amongst the ensuing pages. Clinical trials flourish when backed by solid protocol and unassailable observations. Achieving this is possible only when we are trained in it. So make a commitment to acquire these skills!

We are keen that these journals also contribute to the clinical update of our readers. Keeping this in mind we have included in this issue several case reports that have used something innovative and set a pattern for other clinicians to follow. Also included is a case report which reports a rare canal configuration.

We look forward to many such contributions from you.
